In one of the strongest rainstorms since 1997, the region between Lake Cachuma and Solvang received almost 8" of rain in one 24-hour period - starting midnight, March 20. The SYV-Online Weather Station measured 7.92", and the Lake Cachuma station reported 9.64". While the corridor along the Santa Ynez River averaged about 7", the remainder of the Valley received about half of that rainfall.
