Los Olivos, CA - Midland School student Miranda Poett, class of 2010 of Lompoc, CA, was accepted to the Ashland Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Summer Seminar for High School Juniors. Poett is one of 65 juniors nationwide to be accepted from hundreds
of applicants. For two weeks in August, she will attend seminars and workshops with the Festival's talented team of actors and producers, while attending shows and staying at Southern Oregon University.
"I am so excited to have this opportunity!" said Poett.
Founded in 1935, the Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) is among the oldest and largest professional non-profit theatres in the nation. Each year OSF presents an eight-and-a-half-month season of eleven plays in three theatres plus numerous ancillary activities, and undertakes an extensive theatre education program.
