Los Olivos, CA - The Wildling Art Museum’s “Free Friday Flick” for July 6 will feature part of the acclaimed PBC series, “The Living Edens” by local filmmaker, Bruce Reitherman, namely the episode about Denali National Park.

Filming in exotic locations on six continents, Reitherman has produced, written, directed, and shot programs variously broadcast by Disney/ABC, PBS, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, the BBC and a host of other international outlets. “The Living Edens (Big Sur; Thailand; and Denali),” produced for PBC, are among his most recent projects. Others include two episodes of the WNET series “Nature,” and the kick-off episode of the Disney/ABC series “The New True Life Adventures” entitled “Alaska: Dances of the Caribou.”

Reitherman has earned three personal Emmy Award nominations with one win for Special Achievements in Cinematography, and programs produced by him have won a total of eight Emmy nominations overall. Reitherman has been invited to speak to the Wildling Art Museum audience about the film, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Museum’s administrative offices, 2948 Nojoqui, Suite 4, in Los Olivos.

The first Friday of each month, the Wildling Art Museum, a museum devoted to the art of America’s wilderness, screens notable films about nature or art and invites the public to come see them free of charge. The Museum also provides free popcorn and cookies, wine, water and soft drinks. The films are underwritten by a grant from the Valley Foundation. Reservations are not required, but space is limited and seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
