Solvang, CA - Daylight Savings Time will begin three weeks earlier than the traditional "First Sunday in April". Instead, it starts early this year at:
2AM local time on Sunday, March 11.
Many older computer systems (e.g., Windows 98) and most appliances aren't savvy enough to automatically update to DST - so you have to do it manually by changing your clock settings.
So "spring ahead" by setting your clocks ahead one hour. Recommend: set your important clocks and watches (especially the one in the bedroom) before you go to bed. (There went an investment of one hour of sleep, only to be paid off sometime in the fall with no interest.)
