Santa Ynez Valley, CA - Enjoy low tide when you go to the beach, since there are many creatures that you don't see normally. The best is early in the morning. Click HERE for tide information, and view the next "low tide" time.
You can change the parameters (i.e., dates) on the display by entering the changed date on the form and clicking on "View Plot". Actual data (high and low tide times and heights) can be displayed by clicking on "View Data". To get a more detailed display, click on "Click here for a larger plot."
Gaviota Beach is only 20 minutes from the Santa Ynez Valley, and Santa Barbara is about another 20 minutes. Either way, you can appreciate the beauty of nature by going there at low-tide.
Note that the plot is with respect to the Santa Barbara station. Gaviota tides follow approximately 10 minutes later than the Santa Barbara values. (i.e., if the low tide is predicted for 6:40AM, the Gaviota time would be 6:50AM.).
