If you like art and spectacular scenery, you should consider
joining Wildling Art Museum patrons on their trip to Alaska this summer.
There are still some spaces available for the ten-day trip, June 25 to July
5. This customized tour, designed with the help of Thor and Nancy
Brandt-Ericksen, who are originally from Solvang, but have lived in Alaska
for many years now.
The trip will include special guided tours of the Anchorage Museum of History and Art and the Native Heritage Center, a three-day trip via train to Denali National Park, a day-long glacier cruise on Prince Williams Sound, two nights in Homer, the “Carmel” of Alaska, with a day-trip to Halibut’s Cove to view marine life, eat seafood and visit artist studios and galleries.
The tour is being arranged by Journeys of Distinction. Penny Knowles, the
Executive Director of the Wildling Art Museum, will be the tour escort. The
trip is limited to 20 people, and bookings must be made by April 10. To
receive a brochure, call the Museum at 688-1082.
